We are thrilled to announce a further inaugural event for 2017. The River Avon 10k will be held on the morning of Saturday 26th August.
This event will also include a 1k (for all ages and abilities) and our very own 50m (free for 5 and unders only)
We are sorry but this event is not Canicross friendly.
Location: Stothert & Pitt RFC,
50m dash (Under 5’s only) – 9:40am
1k (all ages and abilities) – 9.45am
10k – (All Runners) – 10am
Age limits: 10k – Minimum age: 15 years old.

50m – 5’s & under only – Free! (Limited spaces available)
Registration will open at 9:00am and will be held inside the Stothert & Pitt Rugby Club on the main Bristol to Bath A4 (near The Globe pub at Newton St Loe) which can easily be accessed by bike, car and bus.
This race is a 1 loop 10k (approximately 4k on the Bristol to Bath Railway Path and 6k off road)
It is an amazingly diverse multi terrain route, which will see you transverse through the beautiful countryside at Kelston Mills, run on the stunning trails alongside the River Avon plus an out and back section on the historic Bristol to Bath Railway Path.
Course description: Flat and will be suitable for all standards of runner.
The start and finish will be on the Rugby Club field.
Parking and toilets: There is limited parking for 90 cars at the Rugby Club. So please, please do car share if possible or think about seeking alternative transport.
The Rugby Club boasts separate male and female changing facilities and will be open for bacon butties (£2) and tea and coffees (£1) throughout the event.
All finishers will receive a medal.
All 1k and 50m finishers will also receive a goody bag.
The 10k race will be timed.
There will be 10k winner’s prizes for the following:
Overall male 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Overall female 1st, 2nd and 3rd
1st Senior male and female
1st male and female V40
1st male and female V50
1st male and female V60+ 1st male and female U20
There will be a suitably placed water station for runners and the finishers table will be laden with its usual fruit, cake and treats.
First Aid will be in attendance and the course will be fully marshalled.
